Further Description:
This house looks like two houses put together. Dentils on both houses but they are of different types. Columns are square on 309, round on 311. Porches are solid frame on 309, spindle on 311. Possible addition to rear.
History and Significance:
This house was owned by A. H. Tyler in 1862. He was the first elected county clerk. He served as justice of the peace, county examiner and was a member of the constitutional convention. He served in the Civil War as assistant surgeon. He was an attorney and a notary public.
