Further Description:
Large bay window right side. Semicircular windows top one-half. Second floor has one window flanked by 2 narrow windows (15x2 lights and 9x2 lights, respectively. First floor windows 13x1 lights. Appears to have been remodeled with some Queen Anne highlights, including addition of small dormer-like gable above front entrance, multi-lite upper sash windows, and semi-elliptical gable windows.
History and Significance:
This property was owned by William Sheffield until 1875, when it was sold to Mary J. Sidlinger, who owned it for 20 years. John Sidlinger, possibly her husband, was elected to city council in 1864. Interesting combination of Italianate (vernacular) and Queen Anne.
