Further Description: This house is distinguished by the decorative features, including a bracketed over-hanging cornice with frieze, carved hoodmolds on windows, central balcony on 2nd floor. Central bay, which was front entrance, has a small porch and stained glass transom. Windows are double hung, 9 x 1. |
History and Significance: Built in 1881, owned by Emaline Koller, widow of the miller Josiah Koller. She sold it in 1896. Koller, at one time mayor of Napoleon, erected several substantial business blocks. One of the finest brick Italianate houses in Napoleon. |
