| Further Description: Interesting features of this house include gables with round windows, first floor bay window, front door with side lights and a porch with massive pillars. The water table is brick. Eyebrow rests high on roof. Gambrel roof very prominent. Porch extends around major portion of house. Smaller gambrel-roofed portion to west of main house, mirrors main building. | |||||
| History and Significance: House built by Charles F. Clay, who owned the property from 1907. The house remained in the Clay family until 1937. Clay was a druggist and a member of a pioneer Napoleon family. Excellent early Dutch Colonial in Napoleon. | |||||
